Comparison between C3 and C4 leaves Biology Practical(experiment 7) STPM 2012

Doing bio work now while taking a break,just had some yummy apple juice without a drop of sugar.
Gonna post some of my Bio stuff,its for the  biology practical so that hopefully I can remember better in the future...

Title: Comparison between C3 and C4 leaves

1) Name the cell where the Calvin cycle takes place in C3 and C4 plants?
>> C4:Bundle sheath cells
>>C3: Mesophyll cells

2)Name the cell where atmospheric carbon fixation occurs in C3 and C4 plants?
>>Mesophyll cells

3) What is the special characteristic of the bundle sheath cells in C4 leaf?
>>By being beneath the mesophyll cells,the bundle sheath cells have a lower oxygen concentration and a steady supply of CO2 from the mesophyll cells.

4)Why photosynthesis is more efficient than that in C3 plant?
>>C4 plants are able to prevent photorespiration,because PEP carboxylase enzyme is not inhibited by oxygen at low carbon dioxide concentration
