14Jan2016 Bako Trip

14/1/2016
9.40am

It had all started when I received a phone call from Belinda asking if I would like to go hiking with the Bethanian-s. Weary- eye and sleepyhead, I was like..huhh?? why hahaha this is all of a sudden waking up to plan to climb a mountain!! Ruth texted me again later to ask for reconfirmation and I agreed.

Taking a quick shower and packing my clothes, I was happy I managed to get ready about an hour.. well, err, its still consider quite fast right? xD I was glad I had my purple Slazenger shoes along with the purple Global Village t-shirt, which gave my attire a happy wonderful sporty vibe. Wanting to grab a sporty bag, I reached for my grey Slazenger bag,  but that stupid bag dint have a strap.. like WTHELL.. who makes a sporty bag without a strap?? Like when you’re there to carry all your necessities like sports gear aka: shoes, good clothes, sports bra( It have to be nice), some nice headbands, ( to look like a true sportian), water bottles, chips, snacks, whatever else you need, books pens, uhh uhh… mandarin book in case conversation gets awkward, basketball, baseball, whatever …hahaha… ball, no laa.. jk ,,

What if your carrying a bigass dumbbell, but heyy,.. who will carry dumbells in their bags,.. babi! Will jatuh flat on your foor… aiyoo.. alamak .. aduhh… omg wtheck shytt… then you of course harr need a strap…

Ok back to the main point, so I just used a normal backpack which I purchased from a small boutique shop in Summer Mall which does not cost even that much expensive of RM 35.. Im so proud to get it … It hell looks like one of a sporty bag… and its so wonderful and so much space!!
It had the green-ish, brown-ish shuriken shape stars on it, with a peeking owl and it hell looks like a sporty, military bag! Im so proud to own one!! Danggg…

I went down to get some snacks and decided to buy some Strawberry Chocolate cookies which has err.. 16x6 = 96 cookies for only RM 7.90
I know right… these cookies are damn damn cheap, found in Sarawak with abundance of flavours,.. durian, chocolate, strawberry, vanilla,..

Well, if you’re a fan of these Oreo- like biscuits, you can find them at very cheap prices at Unijaya in Sarawak, Kota Samarahan, near Unimas… For cheapskate and bankrupt people like me, well, hey, why bother about Oreos when you can have one of these delights?

I met Rahat and Tousif on the way at Nusrath CafĂ©, and I always have seem them there..hahah! Anyway, while waiting for Norman to pick me up, the Chinese Shop behind Nusrath served piping steamed scrambled eggs… whattheshit.. because of my cheapskates-ness, I dint buy one of these delights?!!

Anyway, after waiting a while, Ivon, Wendy and Ellie came and off we went to the roundabout and waited for Nabil about 30 minutes… Turns out he was also in for an element of surprise to know the van came quite early…

Our van ride took about an hour, and when we reached there, the buying ticket process went out in the usualy chitty-chatty randomness, and I was trying to sleep with my sunglasses, keeping the sun out of your already-closed-eyelids-while-it-can-still-absorb-sunlight is one of the best way, besides when you got a really cute Rayban sunglasses..

The ticket costs about RM17, and yeaa, It was reasonable…
We were advised to refrain from going to the beach as it had crocodiles and stingrays, and recently, a local had a terrible fate with a crocodile, so to dear visitors who are planning a visit to Bako, pls be cautious and take care of your safety.

We kicked in our first morning with a speed boat ride that was frickin awesome!! The wind blew my whole soul to up sunlight paradise, with all my thoughts looming back and forth, happy and calm, telling me not to worry so much about plans of the future,..

The boat ride took about 15 minutes and indeed, was one of the fun-nest boat ride I ever sat with all my dear friends at the back and with me.. Nabil was busy snapping away with his DSLR camera the nature and those big wooden stick stands to catch fish from the river..
That JERK! Had a big DSLR, but did not take a picture of mee… of meeee..! am I that hangover uhh-glyy face in the morning ?

We walked down after the 15 minutes boat ride, and got our feet abit soaked with mud, and walked across the beach… It was really crazy!! There were these cute crabs skimming across the sand,, I never seen crabs skimming that fast!! It was as if they were flying,.. baby- size crab to be more precise.. they were just so cutee!!

And guess what!! The gang then stumbled upon a wild boar! There was a sign near the resort that said: beware of wild animals attack..

Really, kool, first time I have ever came across a wild boar and flying sideways crab!! Ahahah!
We went into the jungle about 1.30 pm and planned to be back around 4pm,, the jungle was filled with roots, sand, mud, and various soil pathways and we walked about one hour up. The walk up was indeed challenging and tiring, but nevertheless, so much fun! Ivon kept laughing non-stop about this African toro-toro video, this is not my real face, and her spirt and laughter definitely brought this team energy higher, ..or was it just me.. haha! When you are baru finish your exam, it’s the last thing you want to think about and just need to look for a source of inspirtation.. hahah!!

Actually sometimes, when doing things then require enduring strength and time, I tend to look for something that can raise my energy level or spirits, and it’s something that can make me happy or excited.. Weeks of difficult uni and how I am not really well at keeping up these past few months have definitely been a drawback.. and making me feel weak for thse past few days :’( I cannot be more thankful how some great friends have always been there for me to have my back and bring up my spirits.

Walking in the jungle has been pretty exciting because the pathways soil, like I already mentioned, consists of various types and colours filled with fresh air and good weather… I feel blessed this morning to inhale and breathe in fresh air, that wonderful feeling all in your lungs and across your system…

Climbing when we finally reached the top was BLISSFUL! At first, halfway across, we kept mentioning we might have lack of time to reach the top because it was going to be quite far and we set a time limit of 15 minutes. Nabil, Ashwin, and Norman went ahead first, with others keep telling the others to ‘patah balik’ or go back…But heyy, wtheck,.. we came this far for going back?? Sometimes you have to stop listening to other perspectives and things that can hold you back, and JUST DO IT,.. so as I pride myself as the tiger that kept moving forward, OFF  I pounced forward with a determination and with the clueless beautiful curiousity of what lied ahead,,.. Seconds after, I could hear voices from behind with the other gang catching up,.. see what I mean?? Sometimes, other influences can affect your decision, but if you take the courage and put your foot forward, you can suddenly realize you’re the one ahead and taking the lead of the other influences..

And the full move forward, speed up was worth it. The scenery was cantekk, beautiful and gorgeous…whatever you want to call it,.. a fence to prevent us from falling and atop a cliff, lay a beautiful seaside view down below with its glistening waters, sparkling sand, gorgeous mountain shrouded in puffy clouds, with the gentle cool breeze through our body. It was definitely a good moment to register while we took in the good achievement and atmosphere.

We took a few minutes up there and hurried down quickly to reach the boat docked on the sands waiting for us at 4pm… Ohh, thank youu BelBel for offering to carry my heavy backpack, it was great to have some help! Before that ,while waiting for the others, some of us came across a wild monkey,.. it snatched our freakin’ 100 Plus bottle… and we were laughing at it when it couldn’t open the bottle, especially by the cap.. when it started ripping the plastic bottle: .. and shyyttt damnn… I don’t want to mess with those fanged crazy monkeys… uhh…

Luck came to us, when one of the boats could take 5 more people with many ang mohs already waiting in the boat, and off we plopped in the boats to speed off… The others went on a different boat, and it was HILLARIOUS how we were teasing each other, having boat races… Our boat initially sped off the fastest but slowed down in the middle because it was too heavy and huge…
When we went down, off we went for dinner at a Chinese reastaurant, and it was funny to see how Nabil had his first Chinese food,.. I keep making lame jokes of … OhhhChienn… of Wendy’s Awww Mann.. and goodness it was so much joking and chitchatting at the dinner table. It was also great to  have Yee Nie join us, with her not wanting to touch us because we were GERMY!!! From all the walking.. hahahhah!! It was so much funn!! Dinner consist of kendondong drink, two types of vegetable, butter prawns, tom yam soup, and tou foo.. Nabil say’s Bangladesh doesn’t really eat tou foos and beans, that’s why he doesn’t really enjoy tou foo, beans, barley beans and soya!! Hahahha!!

Anyway, well, that’s how we wrapped up a wonderful day with lovely dinner, hiking and jungle trekking! Muackss! Thanks for reading my blog, and to everyone who made it an enjoyable day
